Z-Inspection® is a structured process designed to assess the trustworthiness of AI systems at various stages of their lifecycle, from design to deployment. It places particular emphasis on AI due diligence, identifying and addressing ethical challenges and risks through a comprehensive framework of socio-technical scenarios. The Z-Inspection® process aims to promote transparency and accountability in AI development.
This framework is listed in the OECD Catalogue of AI Tools & Metrics and is published under the Creative Commons License (Attribution-NonCommercial-ShareAlike CC BY-NC-SA). It has been recognized as a significant tool for promoting responsible AI practices and is included in academic publications, such as IEEE Transactions on Technology and Society.
Project Objectives
The Lodz Cyber Hub’s participation in the Z-Inspection® Initiative will focus on integrating AI due diligence processes into the Hub’s ongoing research and policy development efforts. Key objectives include conducting AI trustworthiness assessments, supporting the co-design of ethical AI use cases, and publishing results in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Additionally, the Hub will integrate Z-Inspection® principles into educational programs aimed at fostering the next generation of AI researchers and practitioners.
Key Activities
