The programme examines the interconnections between artificial intelligence, European Union law, the rule of law and sustainable development in the context of rapid global transformation.
What is a BIP?
A Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) is a short, intensive educational format combining a virtual component with a physical mobility period abroad.
Its objective is to create an international and interdisciplinary learning environment in which participants engage in joint projects, take part in simulations and deepen their expertise in areas that go beyond standard curricula. The programme ensures formal recognition of learning outcomes through ECTS credits.
Programme Focus
GREEN-AI EU addresses in particular:
- the impact of artificial intelligence and cyberspace on the rule of law and on the making and implementation of EU and international law,
- challenges related to international climate litigation,
- the role of technology in achieving climate neutrality objectives,
- the condition of democracy and fundamental EU values in a changing geopolitical environment.
Programme Structure
Online Component (5–6 May 2026)
Interactive seminars delivered by an international team of academics, covering topics such as the application of international law in cyberspace, EU climate neutrality by 2050, and the relationship between business, human rights and sustainable development.
In-Person Component in Enna, Sicily (11–15 May 2026)
A one-week academic stay including:
- a simulation of a Council of the European Union meeting on cyberspace and the rule of law,
- a moot court simulation concerning climate change and sustainable development,
- the preparation and presentation of a joint written paper in international teams,
- study visits to research centres at the host university.
Participation in the programme is awarded 4 ECTS credits.
The working language of the programme is English.
