Call for Applications for the Universitas Lodziensis Alumno Laude Dignissimo Medal for Students and Doctoral Candidates

The University of Lodz Vice Rector for Student Affairs and Quality of Education informs about the call for applications for the Universitas Lodziensis Alumno Laude Dignissimo Medal and an honour for students and doctoral candidates for their activities for and for the benefit of the University of Lodz. The call runs until 15 March 2024. Individuals applying for the medal should demonstrate outstanding organisational or scientific-research activity for and for the benefit of the University of Lodz for a minimum period of 3 years, and individuals applying for the honour – for a minimum period of one year.

Rules of the call

Filled in, signed and scanned applications for the Universitas Lodziensis Alumno Laude Dignissimo Medal or the honour along with attachments should be sent via e-mail to the following e-mail address: nagrody.rektora@uni.lodz.pl. The call runs until 15 March 2024. The applications with attachments must be sent from the electronic mailbox address assigned to the profile in the USOSweb of a student's who is applying for the award.

 

Information for the students applying for the medal 

A student applying for the medal should actively work for and for the benefit of the University of Lodz for a minimum period of 3 years. 

An application for the medal should include: 

  • personal data: first name and last name, name of the faculty where the candidate studies, album number

  • a list of activities serving the University of Lodz community or scientific achievements

  • an opinion of the Dean of the Faculty of the University of Lodz where the student is studying 

  • justification for awarding the medal in relation to the demonstrated activities or scientific achievements 

  • other documents confirming the demonstrated activity or scientific achievements, such as: opinions, certificates or photocopies of the first pages of scientific publications. 

 

Information for the students applying for the honour 

The honour can be applied for by the University of Lodz students who have demonstrated organisational or scientific and research activity for the benefit of our university. Only activities undertaken during the student's education and scientific achievements affiliated with the University of Lodz are taken into account. Persons applying for the honour should actively work for and for the benefit of the University of Lodz for a minimum period of one year.

An application for the honour should include: 

  • personal data: first name and last name, name of the faculty where the candidate studies, album number 
  • a list of activities serving the University of Lodz community or scientific achievements 
  • an opinion of the Dean of the Faculty of the University of Lodz where the student is studying 
  • justification for awarding the prize in relation to the demonstrated activities or scientific achievements 
  • other documents confirming the demonstrated activity or scientific achievements, such as: opinions, certificates or photocopies of the first pages of scientific publications.

Information for the doctoral candidates applying for the medal 

A doctoral candidate applying for the medal should actively work for and for the benefit of the University of Lodz for a minimum period of 3 years.

An application for the medal should include: 

  • personal data: first name and last name, name of the faculty or doctoral school where the candidate studies, album number
  • a list of activities serving the University of Lodz community or scientific achievements
  • an opinion of the Dean of the Faculty of the University of Lodz where the supervisor is employed in the case of participants of doctoral studies, and in the case of doctoral candidates – an opinion of the supervisor supported by the director of the doctoral school
  • justification for awarding the prize in relation to the demonstrated activities or scientific achievements
  • other documents confirming the demonstrated activity or scientific achievements, such as: opinions, certificates or photocopies of the first pages of scientific publications.

The honour can be applied for by doctoral candidates at the University of Lodz who have demonstrated organisational or scientific and research activity for the benefit of our university.
