We are equally proud to note that Jason’s first academic publication has been included in the newly released multi-author volume „Global Governance of Low Earth Orbit Satellites”, published by the University of Lodz Press and made available in open access. This recognition affirms both the relevance of his work and its value to global discussions on digital connectivity and satellite governance.
Jason’s research aligns closely with the mission of Lodz Cyber Hub as an ICANN At-Large Structure (ALS). His work focuses on rural broadband solutions, community networks, and the role of Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellites in bridging connectivity gaps — topics crucial for public-policy efforts aimed at reducing digital inequalities. His recent chapter examining the impact of Starlink on African connectivity initiatives adds an evidence-based perspective to a rapidly evolving field. Jason was also the thought leader behind the SSIGIL input paper to the WSIS+20 process.
Participation in SSIGIL 2025 enabled Jason to establish collaborations with experts from Pacific Island nations, where extreme geographic isolation requires innovative approaches to digital infrastructure. His engagement brings fresh analytical perspectives into the At-Large ecosystem and contributes meaningfully to global initiatives promoting an open, inclusive, and resilient Internet.
We congratulate Jason on these achievements and look forward to supporting his continued work within the global Internet governance community.
